Butterfly Garden sets vibrantly coloured butterflies against finely detailed roses drawn in monochrome, so the composition works on two registers: the flowers as a disciplined etched ground, the butterflies as points of live colour above them.

The cloth is 100 per cent cotton, made in the United Kingdom on a 140cm width at around 33gsm. A rub result of 56,000 makes it a genuinely hard-wearing print, at home on chairs, stools and sofas in daily use as well as on curtains, blinds and cushions, where the full composition can spread out.
