Osborne & Little | Calama

Calama is a semi-plain woven with twisted yarns, the twist putting a subtle irregularity into the surface so that the cloth carries movement without ever declaring a pattern. It is texture doing quiet work — the sort of fabric that makes a plain room feel considered.

Woven in Italy from cotton with linen, wool and polyester, it is 145 centimetres wide and a substantial 780gsm. A rub test of 20,000 keeps it to curtains and blinds, where its weight will hang in deep, architectural folds and the twisted yarns can be read in raking light.
