Osborne & Little | Canalasso

Canalasso is a velvet whose stripes carry a filigree pattern in relief, ornament held within order, presented in a silvered colouring. The name is an historic one for the Grand Canal, and there is something of Venice in its combination of structure and decoration.

Woven in India from viscose and cotton, it is 138 centimetres wide and 422gsm. With a rub test result of 18,000 it is best used decoratively, on cushions, headboards and occasional chairs, or in curtains where the filigree stripe can run the full height of the room.
