Carioca is a dual-purpose, predominantly wool cloth carrying a complex vertical stripe, its colour proportions expanding and contracting with real precision, a rhythmic pattern that has been likened to a musical scale.
Woven in the United Kingdom from wool with polyamide, it is 140 centimetres wide and 375gsm. A rub test result of 100,000 makes it a genuinely hard-working cloth, equally suited to upholstery in daily use and to curtains, where the stripe runs unbroken from heading to floor.
