Osborne & Little | Catamaran Check

Catamaran Check is a gingham blown up to an oversized scale and woven with a twill, so the familiar domestic check acquires both graphic confidence and a diagonal grain in the cloth. At this size the check becomes architecture rather than nostalgia.

It is woven in Italy, chiefly of viscose and cotton, on a full 150cm width at around 78gsm. A rub result of 46,000 makes it a proper working upholstery cloth, sofas, armchairs and ottomans in daily use, and the outsized repeat comes into its own on larger pieces and full-length curtains where it can be seen whole.
