Checkers is a printed diamond laid out with the easy regularity of a game board, drawn on a generously wide cloth. At 312 centimetres across it is designed to run in unbroken widths over a window or a bed, the geometry never interrupted by a seam.
Printed in Italy on a ground woven entirely from polyester, the greater part of it inherently flame-retardant, it is a light 70.4gsm and falls softly rather than holding structure. A rub test of 35,000 keeps it to what it does best: curtains, blinds and bedspreads, where the diamonds can repeat calmly across a broad expanse.
