Colwyn is a plain jacquard with a slightly rustic surface, the weave giving it the honest, nubby character of a natural cloth. It takes its name from Colwyn Bay, the seaside resort on the north coast of Wales.
Woven in China from polyester and acrylic, it is 142 centimetres wide and a substantial 629gsm. A rub test result of 100,000 makes it an exceptionally hard-working plain, the sort of cloth to put on the pieces that get used every day, sofas, dining chairs, stools, and to rely on for years.
