Compostella is a chequerboard at small scale woven in chenille, the alternating squares softened by pile and lifted by hints of metallic thread, so the geometry reads as texture with an occasional glint rather than as hard pattern.

It is woven in Italy from cotton with polyester and viscose, 58, 22 and 20 per cent, on a 142cm width at a substantial 102gsm. A rub result of 30,000 places it in regular domestic upholstery service, chairs, stools, headboards and window seats, and the chenille surface gives cushions and curtains a dense, comfortable depth.
