Concetti Velvet is a contemporary cut velvet, the damask motif rendered in pile and set against a soft metallic ground. The contrast does the work: dense, light-absorbing velvet where the pattern rises, a faint reflective shimmer where the ground shows through, so the design shifts in emphasis as the light moves.

Woven in Italy from viscose with polyester, 85 and 15 per cent, on a 146cm width, it carries a rub result of 30,000, comfortably within domestic upholstery use, chairs, headboards and occasional pieces, as well as cushions and curtains. The cut pile asks to be seen in raking light, where the damask stands fully proud of its ground.
