Osborne & Little | Cosimo

Cosimo takes its name from the great Medici patron of the Renaissance, and the cloth carries itself accordingly: a cut velvet jacquard whose densely drawn florals have the depth and gravity of an antique carpet. A digital overprint sits over the carved pile, shading the pattern so that it reads differently as the light moves across it.

Woven in Germany from polyester with viscose, it is 148 centimetres wide and a substantial 488gsm, the weight giving the pile a firm, upholstered hand. With a rub test of 30,000 it is best enjoyed in curtains, blinds and occasional upholstery rather than everyday seating, where the pattern can be admired at full drop.
