D'Oyly Carte Braid is a woven trimming nine centimetres deep, made from cotton with viscose, the cotton giving it body and the viscose a light surface sheen. At that depth it is a generous braid, wide enough to read as a border in its own right rather than a fine edging.
It is woven, not printed, so the surface carries a slight relief that catches light along its length. It finishes curtain leading edges, pelmets, cushions and upholstery seams, defining an outline and giving a made-up piece its final, deliberate edge. Made in India.
