Delina arranges blocks of coloured velvet into vertical stripes, the columns punctuated by horizontal accent yarns that cross the pile like ledger lines. The rhythm is orderly but never rigid, the blocks reading as soft squares of light and shadow rather than hard-edged geometry.
Made in Germany from polyester and blended yarns at 366 grams per metre, it is lighter than most velvets, with a supple handle that falls well. A rub test of 30,000 suits it to domestic upholstery, occasional chairs, headboards and stools, and the 142cm width also makes curtains and cushions where the stripe can run full height.
