Ella draws a small-scale trellis of squares, each enlivened with contrasting coloured pinstripes, so the geometry carries a flicker of movement within its order. The design is named for Ella Fitzgerald, famed for her vocal artistry and impeccable phrasing, and there is something of that precision in the pattern's neat repeat.
Woven in Italy from viscose, linen and cotton with polyester, it is 142 centimetres wide and 78.8gsm. A rub test result of 28,000 suits it to curtains, blinds, cushions and occasional chairs rather than seating in hard daily use.
