Gowran is a dobbyweave of chenille with a little linen, carrying a slight strié effect so a single colour keeps a soft vertical grain and the surface never sits flat to the eye.
The composition is 97 per cent polyester chenille with 3 per cent linen, on a 143cm width at around 66gsm. An exceptional Martindale result of 100,000 rubs puts it at the hardest-working end of upholstery service, family sofas and dining chairs in constant use, while the chenille handle keeps curtains, cushions and loose covers soft and full.
