Osborne & Little | Ibis

Ibis is a chevron cut in velvet, the zigzag drawn to resemble the overlaying feathers of a bird's wing, so the geometry carries an organic softness and the pile gives each feather its own shadow. It is named after the long-legged wading bird.

The cloth is woven from viscose, cotton and polyester, 44, 36 and 20 per cent, on a 134cm width at a substantial 110gsm. A Martindale result of 60,000 puts it firmly into serious upholstery service, sofas, chairs and stools in constant use, and the feathered chevron gives cushions and headboards a rich, directional depth.
