Osborne & Little | Isfahan Tulip

Isfahan Tulip sets brightly coloured tulips of velvet appliqué among embroidered leaves on a pure linen ground, so the flowers stand physically proud of the cloth, pile against flat weave. It is named after Isfahan, formerly the capital of Persia and famed for its Islamic architecture.

The composition is 70 per cent linen with 30 per cent viscose, on a 129cm width. Appliqué and embroidery ask to be kept from hard wear: this is a cloth for curtains, blinds, cushions and the occasional chair, where the raised tulips can be seen and touched without being sat upon.
