Iznik lays broken horizontal bands in shimmering colours across the cloth, an effect that resembles seams of mineral in a rock face, and takes its name from the celebrated Turkish pottery.
Woven in India from viscose with linen, silk and acrylic, it is 140 centimetres wide and 49.8gsm. Without a published abrasion result it is best used at the window, in curtains and blinds, where the silk content lends the banded colour a soft light of its own down the folds.
