Kanoko lays two shades of colour in deep horizontal bands across a semi-sheer linen, a modern reading of traditional dyeing techniques in which colour appears to have been steeped into the cloth rather than printed onto it.
Printed in Turkey on pure linen, it comes 306 centimetres wide, a wide-width cloth that curtains tall windows without seams, and weighs 109gsm. It is a fabric for the window, for sheers and unlined curtains, where light through the banded colour does the decorating.
