Kintyre Check builds its pattern from a tiny square of chenille set into a linen-coloured framework, colour held inside a neutral grid. At any distance the effect is a small, even texture; up close the chenille squares stand slightly proud of the ground, so the check is felt as much as seen.
The weave mixes viscose, linen and cotton with a small synthetic content, on a 142cm width and a substantial 133gsm. A rub result of 40,000 makes it a proper upholstery cloth for sofas and chairs in regular use, and the weight gives curtains and loose covers a firm, orderly hang.
