Lorton is a basket-weave pattern woven with chunky chenille, the over-and-under structure enlarged so the cloth reads as soft, deep texture rather than flat plain. The thick yarn rounds every intersection, giving the surface a cushioned, woven-by-hand character.
Woven in China entirely from recycled polyester at 520 grams per metre, it is a full-bodied cloth with a warm, plush handle. A rub test of 48,000 clears the threshold for serious upholstery service, making it a sound choice for sofas and chairs in daily use, and the 144cm width also cuts for curtains, cushions and loose covers.
