Madrigal is a mid-scale chequerboard of soft-edged squares in harmonious colours, the blurred boundaries lending the grid a woven, almost hand-dyed gentleness rather than hard graphic contrast, so it sits comfortably beside both plains and pattern.
Woven in India from silk, cotton and linen with acrylic, it is 137 centimetres wide and 207gsm. Without an abrasion rating it is best used away from hard-wearing seats, in curtains, blinds and cushions, where the silk content gives the squares a quiet lustre as the light changes.
