Osborne & Little | Marvin

Marvin sets complementary coloured diamonds and triangles into a tessellating pattern of cut velvet, the pile catching light differently across each facet so the geometry shifts as you move around it. The design takes its name from the soul singer Marvin Gaye.

Woven in Belgium from viscose with polyester, it is 138 centimetres wide and a substantial 681gsm. A rub test result of 50,000 puts it comfortably beyond the threshold for general domestic upholstery, so it suits sofas and chairs in regular use as well as curtains, where the cloth's weight gives a heavy, ordered drape.
