Molina is a velvet drawn with colourful pinstripes, the finest of lines running through the pile so the cloth reads as a plain velvet from a distance and reveals its stripes as you approach. It is tailoring translated into upholstery cloth.
Woven in India from cotton and viscose with polyester at 639 grams per metre, it is a dense, substantial velvet with a soft, deep handle. A rub test of 45,000 reaches the threshold for serious upholstery service, so it will serve on sofas, dining chairs and stools, with the 141cm width also cutting for cushions and curtains of real weight.
