Ombrone is a flat-woven vertical stripe sharpened with ikat detail, the edges of each band softly feathered where the dyed yarns meet. The result sits between order and irregularity, a tailored stripe with a handmade temper.
Woven in India from pure cotton at 500 grams per metre, it has the dry, crisp handle typical of a flatweave. A rub test of 50,000 puts it well within serious upholstery territory, so it will serve on sofas and dining chairs, and the 137cm width covers curtains and loose covers besides.
