Oriole is a speckled all-over pattern woven in chenille, the flecks scattered like the markings of the bright-plumaged bird family it is named after, so a single colour carries constant small movement across its surface.
It is woven in Italy from viscose, cotton and polyester, 48, 32 and 20 per cent, on a 142cm width at a substantial 104gsm. A Martindale result of 100,000 rubs places it at the hardest-working end of upholstery service, family sofas and dining chairs in constant use included, and the soft chenille face keeps all that durability comfortable.
