Pageant sets a tessellating ribbed geometric motif, worked in coloured yarns, against a plain linen ground, so the pattern sits slightly proud of the flat weave and the contrast between the two does the work.
Woven in India from linen and viscose, it is 129 centimetres wide and 54.1gsm. Without an abrasion rating it should be kept away from seating; it is a cloth for curtains and blinds, where the ribbed motif catches side light and the linen ground keeps everything calm.
