Osborne & Little | Pelangi

Pelangi covers the cloth in small interlocking hexagons, an all-over geometry that reads from a distance as a fine, even texture and only resolves into its pattern up close. The name is the Malay word for rainbow, borrowed from a beach resort.

It is woven in pure silk on a 137cm width, a light cloth of just under 32gsm with the dry, faintly crisp handle silk brings. Osborne & Little list it for curtains and upholstery; its weight makes it most natural at the window and on cushions and lighter seating, where the silk can catch the light along each facet of the hexagon.
