Osborne & Little | Plimsoll

Plimsoll is a bold horizontal stripe combining flashes of colour with neutrals, the bands broad and assured. It takes its name from Samuel Plimsoll, who in the 1870s devised the line on a ship's hull marking the legal limit of its loading, and the stripe has that same drawn-with-purpose quality.

The weave mixes cotton, viscose and linen with synthetic content, woven in Italy on a 140cm width at around 66gsm. A rub result of 30,000 suits regular domestic upholstery, benches, stools, occasional chairs, and as the stripe runs horizontally it sits naturally across seats and can be railroaded along curtains.
