Purbeck is a tightly woven crosshatch of twisted coloured yarns, the interlacing threads giving a surface of fine, even texture with subtle shifts of tone. It is woven with FR yarns and is inherently flame-retardant.
Woven in Turkey from modacrylic and polyester with cotton and flame-retardant polyamide, it is 140 centimetres wide and weighs 420gsm. A rub test result of 55,000 suits it to sofas and chairs in regular use as well as curtains, with flame retardancy inherent in the yarn itself.
