Quoits is a wide-width sheer patterned with semi-transparent ovals against a contrasting ground, so the design appears and dissolves as the light moves behind it, discs of brightness floating in the cloth.
Woven in Italy from a single synthetic yarn, it comes 330 centimetres wide, generous enough to curtain tall glazing without seams, and weighs just 44.4gsm. It is a cloth for the window only, for voiles and sheers, where its play of transparency is the whole point.
