Salar is a light plain of llama wool, the fibre lending it a dry, downy softness and a matt depth of colour that synthetic plains rarely manage. There is no pattern; the pleasure is all in the handle.
Woven in Italy from llama wool with wool, it is a generous 152 centimetres wide and 390gsm. With a rub test result of 18,000 it is best used decoratively, on cushions, throws-in-waiting and occasional chairs, or at the window, where it falls in soft, warm folds.
