Samburu is an embossed velvet with a snakeskin design, the pile pressed into a fine scaled texture that reads as a rich plain across a room and reveals its pattern at close range. The embossing gives the surface a low, constant play of light and shadow.
Woven in China entirely from polyester at 387 grams per metre, it has a soft, pliable handle and carries a stain-resistant finish. A rub test of 40,000 reaches the threshold for serious upholstery service, suiting sofas, chairs and stools in regular use, and the 142cm width also cuts for cushions, headboards and curtains.
