Osborne & Little | Samrina

Samrina is a decorative stripe embroidery in the Susani tradition, reminiscent of an heirloom wall hanging, worked across a linen ground. The name, of Arabic origin, means flower or fruit, and the stitched motifs carry exactly that generosity.

Made in India on a blended ground led by viscose and linen at 535 grams per metre, it is a substantial cloth with dense, raised handwork. It is best used where the embroidery is seen and gently handled: headboards, cushions, upholstered panels, occasional chairs and curtains, with the 129cm width suiting single-width drops and framed applications.
