Osborne & Little | Torcello

Torcello carries an elaborate horizontal pattern of ornamental floral motifs, scrolling leaves and trelliswork in the chinoiserie manner. It is named after the largely abandoned island in the Venice Lagoon, famed for the Byzantine mosaics of its basilica.

Woven in Italy from cotton and viscose with polyester, it is 136 centimetres wide and weighs 520gsm. A rub test result of 50,000 makes it a dependable cloth for chairs and sofas in regular use, and the horizontal composition rewards generous curtain drops.
