Osborne & Little | Trailing Orchid Velvet

Trailing Orchid Velvet takes one of Osborne and Little's favourite designs and sets it on velvet, the layout reworked so the trailing stems suit full-length drapery. The pile deepens every line of the drawing, giving the orchids a shadowed richness the flat cloth never had.

Woven in Italy from cotton and viscose with a little polyester at 520 grams per metre, it has the dense, soft handle of a proper printed velvet. A rub test of 50,000 puts it comfortably within serious upholstery service, so it works on sofas and chairs as well as the curtains it was recomposed for, with the 140cm width cutting generously for both.
