Zala runs a multi-coloured vertical stripe through the cloth, crossed by a horizontal cut-pile fringe effect, so the surface carries a soft, brushed movement over the order of the stripe.
Woven in Italy from cotton and viscose with polyester, it is a generous 147 centimetres wide and 500gsm. A rub test result of 45,000 supports general domestic upholstery, chairs, ottomans and sofas in regular use, and the stripe hangs to advantage in curtains where the fringe texture catches side light.
