Agrippine is an embroidery worked on a silk sheer, and its starting point is a detail from the house's own history: the 'vermicule' ground of Braquenié's iconic Le Grand Corail. Deliberately enlarged, that once-incidental motif becomes the whole subject, acquiring a genuinely decorative presence as it wanders across the transparency. It is an elegant piece of archival editing — taking the background of a famous design and letting it speak for itself.
