Alpage is a monochrome print conceived as a tribute to an age-old craft: the traditional cut-out papers of the Vaud Alps, whose codes and ornamental vocabulary it reproduces faithfully. The single-tone printing is true to its source — these were silhouettes, after all — and gives the fabric a graphic clarity that feels both folkloric and modern. Scissors-work translated into cloth, with all the charm of the original discipline intact.
