Alta is a multicoloured stripe made twice over: first woven, then embroidered, so the pattern sits partly in the cloth and partly on it. The motif recalls a stylised flamestitch, its points softened into charm rather than rigour. The embroidery is what gives it its hand-worked warmth — a stripe with relief and personality, easy to like and hard to mistake for anything machine-minded.
