Daniel Rous drew Altar from the monumental furniture of old churches — monolithic pieces with the presence of things meant to be gathered around. The proportions are generous and the faceting is deeply cut, so light catches the angles and reveals how much hand work has gone into them. Made in solid wood, ash or oak, with a finish that lets the grain speak. Inserts and tops can be specified in artistic lacquers, gouged oak or wallpaper under glass.
