Alula was designed in collaboration with Richard Smith: a small kilim-inspired bayadère stripe, multicoloured and full of rhythm. It comes in two versions — one gentler, one conceived to coordinate with the house's Rayure Bivouac — and its supple, woolly hand gives it a warm, authentic character. It is a travelling stripe in the best sense, carrying the memory of flat-woven rugs into a cloth that drapes and upholsters with ease.
