Pierre Frey | Arles – Herbes

Arles is a high-performance in-outdoor cloth that does not look like one. Pierre Frey's workshops in northern France combined a natural linen weave with highly resistant colour pigments and a water-repellent finish — a formula they hold alone in Europe — to give stain resistance and high lightfastness without the plastic hand such fabrics usually carry. The design continues the tradition of dyed woven cloth: a multicoloured braid, fresh and rather joyful.
