Astou is a small original stripe, printed with swelling ink on a suedette ground laminated to a non-woven backing. The ink is the trick: it rises as it cures, so the stripe stands in delicate relief against the soft nap of the suedette. The result gives the wall a discreet, touchable volume — a stripe you register with your fingertips as much as your eyes.
