Bloomer is a magnificent jacquard revisiting a 1940s gouache by the designer Ella Maria Schmidl, held in the Maison's archives, combining ribbons and plants in a register drawn from nature and water. The weave gives the drawing structure and depth, and the cloth is particularly well suited to seating. A mid-century hand, rediscovered and given the construction it deserves.
