Bréhat is a tone-on-tone weave evoking the fine mesh of a net, across which — as the house nicely puts it — a light breeze seems to waft. The pattern is barely pattern at all: a gentle openness in the structure, a suggestion of knots and intervals, movement implied rather than drawn. It is a maritime cloth of the quietest kind, all air and rigging, no anchor.
