Brigitte is traditionally woven in pure new wool in Donegal, and draws its inspiration from the cross of St Brigid, patron saint of Ireland. Authentically Irish, it is distinguished by the texture of its intertwined threads and the relief of its floats — the cross worked into the very structure of the cloth. It has the density and character of true regional weaving: a fabric with a passport, and a good one.
