Caboledo is hand-knotted in the traditional way and pays tribute to the textiles of West Africa: the composition of its design is inspired by the woven mats that adorn the beach at Cabo Ledo in Angola. The reference is specific rather than generic — a real place, a real craft — and the knotting honours it with equivalent patience.
