Isabelle de Borchgrave's Cactus takes the desert as raw, elegant, graphic nature — something closer to a tribal motif or an ancestral tattoo than a botanical study. It holds her instinctive mark-making inside a controlled composition, minimal and forceful at once, a kind of vegetal calligraphy that also reflects her long interest in ethnographic pattern and African textiles. Traditionally screen-printed on a textile base with pearlescent highlights.
