Castellaras is a contemporary illustration whose abstract forms echo the organic architecture of the troglodyte dwellings of the village of Castellaras in the south of France — rounded volumes, openings, shapes that seem grown rather than built. The paper is an embossed vinyl with a linen look on a non-woven backing, giving the abstraction a woven, tactile ground. Architecture remembered as landscape, and hung as pattern.
