Champeigne Broderie brings printing and embroidery together to sublimate an Indian motif dating from the eighteenth century, kept in the Pierre Frey archives. The print lays down the drawing; the needle raises chosen passages into relief — two crafts collaborating across the same design, as the great workshops always intended. The result gives the archival document a physical presence its paper original never had.
